Opera Previews
Glimmerglass Opera offers a free preview one hour prior to each performance. Join our expert music staff in the Preview Pavilion beside the theater for an insightful exploration of the music you are about to experience. Free; no reservations necessary.
Backstage Tours
Saturdays in August during the season, enjoy a free, one-hour tour of the opera campus. You'll learn about the history of Glimmerglass Opera, and take a behind-the-scenes look at how each production comes together. Tours begin at the Ticket Kiosk at the front of the theater at 10:00 a.m. Free; no reservations necessary.
Production Changeovers
When the curtain falls on a Saturday matinee in Augsut, our skilled production crews begin a merciless race against the clock to to change the scenery and lighting from the afternoon's to the evening's opera performance. Linger in the balcony to watch and listen as a membter of our production staff narrates as the stage is transormed. Free; no reservations necessary.
Young American Artists Program
Throughout the summer, the talented members of our Young American Artists Program present solo recitals in Cooperstown and Cherry Valley. Attend a recital and witness a star in the making! Free; no reservations necessary. The 2010 recital schedule should be available after June 1.
