The Glimmerglass Festival posted a photo: No, aliens have not taken over the Glimmerglass campus. Today there wasa welding seminar held in the scene shop for people to learn how toweld. I had the honor of attending and trying my own hand at it. Thehelmets have tinted glass in them, many times more dark than yourordinary pair of sunglasses. This is used so you can look at the weldwithout damaging your eyesight. While taking the picture, I realized that this is what this season is all about, bringing in new audiences and exposing new people to the joy of the Glimmerglass experience. Most have nowhere near the number of signs that there are on this post, which is near the Thaw Pavilion. Hopefully these will help people get around our beautiful campus!William Brown The Glimmerglass Festival posted a photo: I took this photo of the Alice Busch Opera Theater a few weeks ago during the intermission of Annie Get Your Gun. I enjoy how you can see people enjoying the festival grounds on the lovely summer day, such as the two women strolling along the path, the family relaxing by the pond and the people enjoying the view of the mountain from the balcony. The trees on the sides of the photo frame the shot as well as give you hint of what the festival is like beyond the frame of the photo. I also like how you can see the open walls of the theater, which I think is one of the coolest aspects of it. William Brown
