Young Artist J’nai Bridges is in her second summer as a Glimmerglass Young Artist. She was with us last year when she covered the role of Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro and was seen as a soloist in the Killer B’s concert with Steven Blier. This past fall, J’nai joined us in Cooperstown for a performance for National Opera Week. See the post here. We are thrilled to have her back this summer as our Carmen cover/understudy. You can see her perform the role during the Young Artist performance of Carmen on August 5 at 1:30 p.m.

J’nai is currently busy with coachings and rehearsals. She took some time out of her busy schedule today to sing the National Anthem in downtown Cooperstown, where  Hemmings Motor News Great Race’s vintage cars made a stop on their trip from Tennessee to Vermont.

The crowd was silent as J’nai sang, and it was a wonderful chance for the community to hear one of our Young Artists prior to the season.

J'nai Bridges.
