The decision was made during intermission to keep our walls open during the performance of A Blizzard On Marblehead Neck. This rare occurrence cooled off the audience, letting the gentle breeze waft through the space. The heat didn't seem to dampen the crowd during curtain call and the show seemed well received. I took advantage of this situation to photograph the show through the screens on the outside of the theater. The first half had Gregory Nagy, the director of the Harvard Center for Hellenistic Studies, who spoke about the play by Euripides that was the source of the opera's story. Jake Gardner and Felicia Blum acted out excerpts from the play to aid in Gregory's explanations. The second half was Musicologist Peter Bloom (not shown) explaining the differences between the French and Italian versions of the opera.William Brown
