Today there wasa welding seminar held in the scene shop for people to learn how toweld. I had the honor of attending and trying my own hand at it. Thehelmets have tinted glass in them, many times more dark than yourordinary pair of sunglasses. This is used so you can look at the weldwithout damaging your eyesight. Here you see MIchael demonstrating someof the more advanced welding techniques for some of the stage ops.William Brown The Glimmerglass Festival posted a photo: A few weeks ago, I was by the front of the theater before the show, and I saw these two little ones sitting by the fire pond. While taking the picture, I realized that this is what this season is all about, bringing in new audiences and exposing new people to the joy of the Glimmerglass experience.
