The Glimmerglass Festival posted a photo:	I took this photo of the Alice Busch Opera Theater a few weeks ago during the intermission of Annie Get Your Gun. I enjoy how you can see people enjoying the festival grounds on the lovely summer day, such as the two women strolling along the path, the family relaxing by the pond and the people enjoying the view of the mountain from the balcony. The trees on the sides of the photo frame the shot as well as give you hint of what the festival is like beyond the frame of the photo. I also like how you can see the open walls of the theater, which I think is one of the coolest aspects of it. The first half had Gregory Nagy, the director of the Harvard Center for Hellenistic Studies, who spoke about the play by Euripides that was the source of the opera's story. Jake Gardner and Felicia Blum acted out excerpts from the play to aid in Gregory's explanations. The second half was Musicologist Peter Bloom (not shown) explaining the differences between the French and Italian versions of the opera.William Brown The Glimmerglass Festival posted a photo:	Who would I have thought that I could try my hand at sports photographythis summer? I didn't, but the Festival participates in a softballleague against other businesses in the area. Yesterday, we won the game23 to 8 against the Better Batters team. Anyone who works at the theatercan participate, including management, technicians and the singersthemselves, such as Adam Diegel, who plays Don José in Carmen, is seenon top hitting a home run during the bottom of the forth inning. Belowhim is Mike, the Technical Director Intern, throwing the ball to firstbase, and on the bottom is the enthusiastic crowd cheering on our team.William Brown The Glimmerglass Festival posted a photo: The Glimmerglass Festival posted a photo:	A few weeks ago, I was by the front of the theater before the show, and I saw these two little ones sitting by the fire pond. While taking the picture, I realized that this is what this season is all about, bringing in new audiences and exposing new people to the joy of the Glimmerglass experience. William Brown
