We highly recommend traveling by car. Due to our rural setting, public transportation is hard to find. A car will most likely be needed even if you travel through Albany, Binghamton, Syracuse or Utica.

Transportation Within Town
Glimmerglass Opera is located in rural Central New York, where public transportation is hard to find. We recommend you bring your own vehicle or rent one for your stay.
Cooperstown Trolley
Parking in Cooperstown is limited. A trolley service is available for transportation around the village with pick up from free parking areas. Trolleys run daily in 20-minute intervals from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., starting the last week in June.
Glimmerglass Opera Trolley Service
The trolley leaves The Otesaga Resort Hotel 45 minutes prior to each performance. The trolley returns to The Otesaga Resort Hotel after each show. Tickets are $5 round-trip; $3 one-way.
Please call the Box Office at (607) 547-2255 to confirm the trolley schedule. The Otesaga-Glimmerglass Opera Trolley will not run Baseball Hall of Fame Weekend.
