Copland's The Tender Land

Written for a cast of young singers, The Tender Land is an ideal showcase for the members of Glimmerglass Opera's acclaimed Young American Artists Program. Aaron Copland's second opera tells the bittersweet story of a young farm girl's coming of age. Music Director Emeritus Stewart Robertson, who helped found the Young American Artists Program in 1988, returns to conduct a cast selected entirely from the class of 2010.
