Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro
July 17 - August 22m
The plot of The Marriage of Figaro is a madcap maze of misunderstandings, disguises and machinations. At the same time, Mozart and Da Ponte, in their first collaboration, display a profound understanding of the human heart, from eager adolescent yearning to bittersweet recollection of a love lately lost, concluding with one of the most tender reconciliation scenes to ever grace the operatic stage.
