Single tickets go on sale Monday, March 15, at 10:00 a.m. Call the Box Office at (607) 547-2255 or return to this website to make your purchase by clicking here.
Subscriptions are available any time during the season; you may purchase two, three, or four shows in a subscription and save up to 35 percent. Glimmerglass offers a Seated Series and a Custom Series. In a Seated Series the dates are pre-set, and you may retain your preferred seats from year to year. If you select a Custom Series, you have the flexibility to choose the dates that work best for you – although your same seats cannot be guaranteed from year to year. A Custom Series may be ordered for two, three or four performances – a savings of 10–35% over single-ticket prices. Single tickets go on sale March 15, 2010, and range from $26 to $126.

Glimmerglass Opera Ticket Policy
Ticket Exchanges
Ticket exchanges are free for subscribers with 48-hour notice, $5 per ticket for single ticket buyers, with 48-hour notice. You can only exchanges tickets for the same show on different date. We must have your original tickets (or proof of their destruction, such as faxed copy of torn tickets) 48 hours prior to the performance to make the exchange; you may mail the tickets, bring them in person, or fax a copy of torn tickets to (607)547-1257. Exchanges are subject to availability and additional charges for higher-priced seats; there are no refunds or exchanges to lower-priced seats. We cannot guarantee that seating will be comparable to the original tickets. One exchange per production, please.
Lost your tickets?
Don’t worry – simply contact the Box Office and replacements will be waiting for you at the door. Lost tickets are re-printed free for subscribers, and $3 per order for single ticket buyers.
Refunds or cancellations
There are no refunds or cancellations. This applies to all ticket purchases, as well as events and picnics.
Can’t attend?
Please consider donating your tickets to the Opera for resale. If we are able to resell them, you will receive a letter acknowledging your donation at the end of the summer.
Latecomers
Latecomers, and those who exit during the performance, will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager.
House Rules
No smoking, drink/food, photography, recording devices, or cell phones in the theater.
Entering the Theater
Everyone must have a ticket to enter the theater and you must sit in the location specified on the front of your ticket. We recommend age 6 as a minimum for Opera attendance. Younger children must be accompanied by adults. No babies-in-arms or children sitting in laps. Children and adults who become disruptive will be asked to leave the theater.
Discounts
We honor the following discounts:
Senior Discount (65 and older) – 10% off
Subscriber Discount (on additional tickets) – 10% off
Otsego County Resident (you may be asked for proof of residency) – 15% off
Group Discount (15 or more people) – 15%- 25% off
Educator Discount (may be asked for ID) – 35% off
Student Discount (may be asked for college ID) – 50% off
Child Discount (18 and younger) – $10 ticket when accompanied by an adult
Fees
All single tickets will be charged a $4 per ticket handling fee, not to exceed $16. All group orders (15 or more people) are charged a $10 handling fee per order. All subscribers are charged a $8 handling fee per order. Additionally, single ticket exchanges will be charged a $5 per ticket exchange fee.
Patrons with Special Needs
The first level of the theater is ADA compliant. Please let the Box Office know your needs in advance. Infrared hearing devices are complimentary and may be picked up at the Audience Services Desk one hour prior to the performance. For TTY ticketing inquires please call (607)547-1299. Please be aware that there is no elevator to our second level.
Group Sales
Share a Glimmerglass Opera experience with 15 or more music lovers, and you’ll be given special treatment, including discounts, priority seating, and some activities and events to enhance your Glimmerglass experience. Contact the Box Office (607) 547-2255 to find out more.
Resale of tickets
No there is no resale of tickets on campus. New York State Law prohibits the resale of tickets within 500 feet of the roofline of the theater. Violators are subject to ejection from the campus and forfeiture of tickets.
